How big a difference is there between the 128mb and 256mb version? The price difference is arounf $70. Is it worth that much more?

your video ram will not be your bottleneck as most games aren't programmed well enough to take advantage of extra video ram and just throw shit into regular ram.

according to http://www.intel.com/products/chipsets/910gl/ you need a pci-e version of whatever video card you choose. if I were you I'd buy an x800 or 6600gt

[Edited on August 8, 2005 at 9:36 PM. Reason : pci-e means not agp]

If you're looking to spend less than $150, then the X700pro's are a good option.

^Um. The raedon 'chipset' or nvidia 'chipset' would be on the video card itself, not on the MB.

Well, he could have an Nforce motherboard, which has an Nvidia chipset. Even if he does, it doesn't matter, a Radeon card will still work.

Radeon x800 XL. best bang for the buck in PCI-E, although the 6800GT is finally starting to come down.
