I don't know how many of you guys have played this game, but I just got it yesterday, and it takes approximately 7-10 minutes to load a fucking race at the following screen:



It looks like people on EBgames and IGN don't hesitate giving it 9.5-10 stars, so apparently this isn't happening to them. Anybody have any ideas?

FYI, I have a first-generation PS2, the kind that gives DRE's with the non-DVD games.

Yeah, I know it's old, but this is the first game it's been doing something like this with. The new last game I bought before GT4 was GTA San Andreas, which came out a few months before. And that worked fine.
