I don't think I'd want to leave them over night.... i wanted the days spread out. I really want to take them to camp canine, but it would be $100 a week for just two days because i still have Holly.... I'm not sure if I can really afford it.... it would be so much easier with a roommate!

what's wrong with pupsi? I thought they were also an obedience place?

Pupsi is an obedience center and day care. They don't do positive reinforcement there. I have heard a lot of bad stories about that place from people who have taken their dogs there. The Pet hotel at petsmart does doggie daycare.

doggie day camp at petsmart is the cheapest I know of - it's like $16 a day and they play from 9-5

yea, i'm the one that asked about working there.... they were too much of a pain to get in contact... and the job that I've been offered pays almost twice as much and gives lots of hours so i can finally quit my restaurant job.
thanks for the input.... i'm going to check out hte one at petsmart.... though i haven't heard good things about their overnight stay, so i'm not sure if I'll like they're daycare either. Elsewise camp bow wow might work because it is not far from my new job.

Glenwood and Oberlin have doggie daycamp. They play with other dogs outside (if the weather's good, if not then it's in a big room). For one session, it's $11, for two it's $22. When they aren't playing with other dogs, they are kept in roomy runs. Pet needs to be current on rabies, stool check, bordetella, and distemper-parvo. 783-7387.

doggie day camp at petsmart is definately going to be the cheapest...it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the others but my pup always comes home exhausted and happy.

you can just throw them in the back yard with my dog. he loves to have company. they won't be supervised but they'll have fun. i always leave a lot of water out.

heh... i'd love to throw them in the back yard with someone elses dog... but then I'd have to worry about if they scratch up a door or dig holes... but thanks!
I'm going all the suggested places tomorrow. I didn't know Oberlin and Glenwood had one... I'll have to check there.
Right now campcanine and pesmart have the best hours.... actually Petsmart has the best since I wouldn't have to worry about saying I can absolutely only stay at work until 6pm.

^and petsmart will feed your dog as well if you keep him/her there later than 7pm... they feed science diet. You could also drop off some of your own food as well and they'll give your dog that before you pick them up. They have two different play rooms for different temperments of dogs, the front one for overall average dog play, and the back room for dogs that are a little more aggressive players. It's neat and your dog gets great supervised socialization

I don't know if I'd leave my dog at the doggie day care at petsmart. I've heard a lot of horror stories from the vet that I work with; who used to work at Banfield, about fights etc that went on and having to take care of injured pets from the daycare. They usually end up with 10-15 dogs crammed in a bedroom sized room with two ppl watching. I mean I can't imagine two ppl being able to break up a fight between two angry dogs and then what if other pups go in for it too!? That all makes me nervous, a larger outdoor area with a few dogs running around at a time and then being kept in a long run otherwise, would make me feel better if it were my dog.

yea.... well, I'm thinking I am going to try camp bow wow, simply because i found out that it is 5 min from my work and if i do a 30 day package deal it is cheaper than petsmart.... now i just have to get them to believe me that they get along with dogs off of the leash (or if i'm lucky they will get along with them on the leash there too!)
So, if we can get through their interview I think I'll do the package and take them three days a week and get someone to just take them on a walk the other two days. And I'll take them to the dog park on weekends.
I think that's fair, right? depending on the day my work day should consist of 7:30am-5 or 6pm. I don't want them to miss out on social interaction during the day... and I am taking two classes on top of that so hopefully it'll help my sanity.
