How many gigs is the nomad and can you clarify what you mean when you say "it has to be formatted" ?

It's 4 GB and essentially I just don't remember the button combination to press when you turn it on so that it reformats itself. I'll Google it and take care of it. Consider it done.

you can replace the HD in the nomad player. it uses a laptop hard drive. it has a proprietary filesystem, but its not that complicated, you just hve to copy the first few sectors off the original disk after it's formatted...
