Its actually 4th. I had to get this off my chest because everyone around here pretty much ignores BC's existence and acts like they are inferior just because they're new to the acc. In reality, Al Skinner has the BC program on the same level as Duke/UNC and its only going up from here.

Boston College is the premier sports program in the acc and has brought the big east superiority from basketball along with a great brand of hard nose football. (if you happened to catch the ncstate game this fall)

Please don't take this the wrong way. I support NCSTATE but Boston (home) is where the heart is.

teh_toch I never had the intention of posting on this site nor do I remember why I joined. Just now did I get bored enough to conjure up a post. I've been reading some ncsu coaching articles. It just made me sick to constantly see ncsu listed 3rd in the acc; especially when the refs have a problem with expansion/switching confs and intentionally blow basketball games verses duke and nova and football games verses unc and fsu.

NCSU is refered to as 3rd in the ACC in basketball because it has the 3rd most championships. Boston College is experiencing a short upswing in their program, but don't worry, it will come back down soon.

and if you are pointing to what BC did against NCSU as evidence of football greatness, you are gonna have to look somewhere else. We were dominated by WAKE FOREST this year, beating us was hardly impressive.

BC is the premeir program..

At choking in big spots.. One win to go to a BCS football game. All you have to beat is Syracuse with their 4th string RB who is actually a DB. Oops. Never mind. Lose by 20+ letting the RB/DB score 4 TDs.

Start out 20-0 and have a 3 game lead in the conference. Oops. Fall on your ass, not win the conference outright, lose in the 1st round of the conf tourney, lose in the 2nd round of the NCAAs.

Hey, they finally made it to a Sweet 16 this year though. Al really got the boys up for that UoPacific game, too! BC is nothing, has never been anything, and never will be anything. Even when they are winning in February no one in Boston gives two shits about them... I'd rather read about Curt Schillings man-tits then about BC basketball -- interestingly enough so would all of Boston.
