anyway, next time you go to some public place with lots of people (mall, box store, etc), take note of every person you pass and notice how many of them are overweight. Not necessarily morbidly obese (although there are plenty of them, too)...just notice how many people are overweight and out-of-shape looking.

also notice how few actually look like they've spent any quality time doing any physical activity in the last few years. it's pretty staggering--you'll only have to do it for a few minutes before you're really surprised when you see someone in shape.

you'll say to yourself, "Fat...fat...fat...whale-ishly obese...not fat...Jabba the Hutt...fat...not fat...fat...fat...Crisco in his veins...fat...IN SHAPE???...fat...fat...not fat..."

When I got back from OCS I was like... ...because I forgot fat people existed. It really does make me sick to see hugely, grossly obese people because all they have to do is like move around and eat less, but that is too much to ask for Americans. Even the poor people who can barely afford shit are obese, now tell me how that makes sense?

An article I read once said that potato chips are cheap because they're subsidized by the government while produce and the like aren't. Don't know if it's true or not, but it was on msn IIRC.

out of the 100 people, let's say 50 of them are dudes

out of the remaining 50, 35 of them will be overweight

out of those 35, probably a dozen of them are between the upper teens and upper 30s

out of that group of 12, what, maybe 8 aren't busted

out of that 8, let's say 5 of them have a serious boyfriend/fiance/husband, so now we're down to 3...
