This guy has done you a service by making sure this one runs properly and he's only charging you a few thousand dollars for his time and efforts. If you buy a new bike you have no idea how it will run. That's crazytalk!

he emailed me back and said that's what he paid for it, plus he's done a few things to it.

i explained that things don't work that way, and he'd better drop the price down to about 9k and be happy if it sells for that before it depreciates any more.

He seriously paid $2500 over MSRP for that bike?!

Either he's lying about what he paid, or he got ripped off BADLY and still isn't smart enough to realize it. Obviously we know he isn't that smart to begin with, because he expects someone to buy that bike for $12000 when there are literally 20-30 other 2008 model year 600cc sportbikes in this area (All in excellent condition) with under 1k miles for $8000 or less. Not to mention that any one of us could probably walk into a Honda dealership and leave with one of these for $9500 or less OTD. And as we all know, modifications don't add to the value of a vehicle, especially when it's just a $350 slip-on exhaust. Hell, I'd subtract value from it for having an exhaust, since to me that indicates he's less likely to have stayed below 6000rpm or whatever it is that motor requires for the first 600 miles or so (My SV's manual said to stay below 5500rpm until 500 miles and below 8250rpm until 1000 miles).

That doesn't seem like it would be a bad deal though. Unless those tires on that thing cost more than I think they cost.

For three hundred bucks, that could easily get turned around for some $$$ assuming the miles aren't godawful. I wonder if it's a 4x4...

^^^ Dude...that's awful for $16k. I had a friend who was selling a running 64 hardtop that was in a little better condition (at least you could drive it home) for $1000 not too long ago. I hate the way people act like the 409 shits gold.

Some of these 7 replicas are downright nasty. This could be a great deal depending on the build quality.

I HATE it when there are no pictures. It's almost always a waste of time if they wont send you any. Sometimes they'll email you some, but most of the time they don't and then you end up having to waste your time to go out and see a shitbox.

and the miata engine loves some forced induction if you ever want it to go faster. if i wasn't deploying, i'd look into it.

^ fuck that. i wouldn't go look at a car without seeing pictures unless it was like 5 minutes from my house.

Btw, my point was in reference to that Lotus 7 replica, there are no photos in the ad. If it's good, it could be insane, but it could also be garbage.

Of course, it's not always the case that it's shitty. Sometimes it gives you first dibs, lol. That RC51 I was considering in Pinehurst didn't have photos in the ad, but when I asked he sent me some massive high res photos. At $5200 it was a pretty good deal considering it had stock body panels (A somewhat rare thing with RC's on craigslist from what I've seen) and a Sato exhaust. It did not appear to have ever been down. I think a lot of people overlooked it because of the fact that it had no photos. I told him that he should put up photos and that it would sell very quickly at that price considering the condition and mileage. Most of the other ones on there that hadn't been repainted were at least $6000. Oh and there was one with a rebuilt title for like $4500, but I'd stay away from that after what happened to my SV. You'd never know it was in a front end collision if everything had been fixed on it, but the frame was likely stressed pretty badly.

Some of the best deals are the ones without pics.
It keeps the competition (you guys) away.
You can learn a lot just by talking to the guy on the phone for 10 or 15 minutes. That should be enough to know whether you want to go take a look at it.

I have a 1998 Camaro in my back yard that has to go! I bought this for my exboyfriend before he left me. The paint is faded and its not quite as pretty as it looks in the pic. No rust or dents. The inside is perfect and it only has 139,000 miles. You'll have to knock on the door when you get here because I've got it locked behind a fence two house down. If you have a way to haul it, you can have it. The title is in my name and is clear. I will probably have it burned if it is here past tonight. Just come get it. My address is
9628 NC Highway 96 S, Benson, NC 27504.

Thank you sooooo much to anyone who can help me. "

^^^ That's been on there for a while. The guy is a fucking idiot if he thinks anybody wants that shit. If he'd just take that hideous trash off the headlights he might be able to sell the fucking thing.

It's worse than most ricer products I've seen. How he ever came up with that and why the dumbass actually did it is completely beyond me.

Quoted for truth. I found most of the get-up I wanted in weight reduction, but if I ever have a couple g's laying around, I know what I'm wasting it on: megasquirt + GT2554R + 100-shot.
