This is the thing I used the word once yesterday out of anger and just plain rage, I can't take it back and don't care to thats how I felt at the moment. Do I hate black people, no I have a bunch of black friends, I thought it was a classless thing to do but so were my comments. However a lot of the posts on here are sheer BS. They want to sue people, but I guess thats what you get with a law school. I find it amusing how up in arms they are over there considering we aren't there rivals . Oh well Karma's a bitch Lawson, have fun getting bounced on Thursday by EKU. I love how the founding principals of this country are freedom of speech but you can't say certain things thats not freedom. They want to shut a cite down, thats censorship, if the owners want to shut the site down then so be it.

Where's the fun in that? I'm not going to crown anybody, let alone Carolina, champs before the season. There are ten OTHER teams also vying for the title besides us and them.

First of all, I despise carolina as much as anyone. Veins pop outta my face when i even talk about them. But everyone views ncstate fans to be delusional. You know why? Because many are. carolina and duke don't have to completely fall off to not win the acct every year, just for the record. before yesterday, carolina's their previous national championship was more recent than their previous acct win.

Agreed, that stuff was way too extreme, but in the heat of the moment in a rage at losing such a close game and then having it blatently rubbed in our faces by an arrogant unsportsmanlike play those kinds of things can slip out.

But their reaction to a few message board posts by some immature childish people was way over the top. Those guys at UNC have probably been force fed politically correct, diversity, and sensitivity classes as GERs for years now in such a liberal school as that.

Mostly, I just like how 'they' take the comments of 5-10 people and apply it as representative of our entire student population (30,000) or as representative of all the users on TWW (28,127).

I wish that one page was just deleted because I think people can deal
with the normal trash talk...it is amazing what some people will still say.

I do find it ironic that a bunch of Carolina students and fans have a tournament
bracket pool on facebook named "Henderson should Die"...I thought only NC State
fans would wish such horrible things on other people?? Even though I fully
disagree with what was said on here, they should take off the blue glasses
and see that in such a lightly moderated setting, kids will say some stupid shit...


Also, all the Scout sites that are talking about this (and it is a LOT of
them...saw it on the vandy board today) need to realize TWW is in no way
related to scout.com...that's what PackPride is for...

their math is also a little off considering they say stuff like 90% of our fanbase
is probably like that and by my calculation, 15 people who said stupid stuff
in that thread out of the 30,000 students plus however many alumni and other people
that make up our fanbase does not equal 90%

wish this would blow over but some of you gave them reason to call our entire fanbase
delusional and idiotic again....
we had just recovered from the coaching situation and were getting props on that...oh well

The whole thing is ridiculous. There are now more pages and threads than there were posts that started the whole thing.

Their 'OMG NCSU IS ALL RACIST' math is based on the fact that we didn't make a 16 page thread condemning the whole thing. There's no thread because most of us see those posts for what they were: stupid comments, designed to be incendirary, made be a few people with internet anonymity.

Anyone who said they wanted the plane to crash on the way back or said anything else about the UNC team biting the big one is also out of line, but that type of shit gets said all the time over on IC about NCSU and Duke teams/fans. The real issue I guess is the racial comments, but I'd be willing to bet those guys dont think like that about black people.

IC is absolutely ridiculous over what they ban for... I highly doubt you'll see anything about wishing a plane crash.

As far as the racial slurs, I don't think anyone on here thinks like that. I think they do think it's cute and funny. More importantly is that if the ones who posted it didn't do so under a 'username', none of them would ever want to or have the balls to say it in public. (And I have absolutely no idea who posted what...I haven't seen the thread) It really is stupid, and it makes our students look like a bunch of fucking idiots with some of the stuff that's said on here. (and like someone said, TWW is becoming notorious around the ACC as an 'NC State fan message board')

And It's not sports talk that's the problem.


The only way to fix it:
1) Start moderating. And I mean really moderating.
2) Stop all outside viewings unless you are logged in
