I don't understanding qualifying the word excitement with the word impalpable. It's fucking excitement - of course it's impalpable. Now if it had been a palpable excitement, then we'd be on to something.

Like I said, I'll make a thread once my feature film gets finished. I haven't even begun shooting it yet. Expect a thread in 3-4 weeks.

"not to mention MM was not his first feature length movie, i had the "pleasure" of watching his highschool feature Funk Justice."

seeing as funk justice was a comedy/parody shot on a camcorder and improvised by a bunch of high school students, I don't really see how anyone could consider it a valid point in discussing brandon's merits as a filmmaker.
then again, its not like most of the people here are interested in having a civil discussion to begin with.

^what i said there was leading into what i said next, that his movies should not be features because he just doesnt have enough material to fill the time, so they just end up being filled with pointless shit. Funk Justice had its moments, and as a short, wouldnt have been too bad.

"and constructive, helpful criticism"

brandon tweed does not take criticism, read the MM thread, it started as helpful critique of his film and turned to hate after he lashed out at anyone who said it wasnt a good movie

and what the fuck is up with the actors in that movie, they is some of the fugliest people i have ever seen. and i know fugly cause i myself am a hideously deformed hunchback, so it is fair for me to point out fugly cause i acknowledge my own ugliness as well. actors are supposed to be pretty, no one wants to watch a 2 hour movie with ugly people.

Once again, I direct your attention to Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction.

Like I said, MM had certain scenes I enjoyed. Certain story lines that "would have" worked if more time was placed in them. I liked the tid-bit of action in it. I haven't read the entire MM thread yet. But will do.

I had a class with brandon in which films were made, albeit short ones.

he's really a great guy -- very laid back with an understated sense of humor. Until you start calling him out on his mistakes. He doesn't get loud and obnoxious or anything, but he displays a very subtle arrogance ... almost narcissistic view of his own work. He doesn't take criticism well, even when it's coming from a teacher.

I still really like the guy ... just wouldn't want to be in one of his films.

im glad someone else saw this, after trying to work on the first movie, i couldnt take his inability to not take criticism so i stopped. in the MM thread i began it with nothing but respect for the movie being made and just offering a few helpful hints for next time (in a respectful way) then he emailed me and was talking a lot of shit so i turned to a hateful critique of him and his shitty movie. he is an immature prick who cant take criticism at all. an ego stroker

I remember you having a negative attitude about the group/project from the very first meeting we had.

awesome, why didn't he let that scene go on longer? I thought it was interesting but I wanted to learn more about the relationship b/t you and the lead. It would have been awesome if it showed more chemistry.

we actually had a longer scene but he cut a lot of it casue he is a shitty director. one of the few action scenes he cuts yet has a scene of a man eating cereal for 10 minutes

Well, he shouldn't have done that. Frankly because there were a lot of other things he could have removed (all the walking and pointless bathroom stuff). I know it wasn't an action film, but I think the audience wanted more drama. More relative drama. I just wonder if this cast of "The Quatrain" is a diverse group like MM?

So how is the guy who wrote this film, does anyone know him or his work? It may have a different taste from the previous work. Considering the fact that they had to share control. I think there were a "group" of individuals who did MM, I may be wrong tho.
