no more abortion debate in this thread. that is absolutely not the focus of this thread.
if you want to have different people weigh in with the same arguments yet again, feel free to create another thread devoted specifically for that purpose.

She will handle it probably by appealing the Florida/Michigan ruling from the DNC the other day to try and drag this out until the convention all while grinding the party into the dust thus winning the election for McBush. 6/3/2008 10:31:57 PM |

why is that people are taking this speech as his victory speech. this is nothing more than a response to the end of the clusterfuck that has been this democratic race
he had his victory speech about 3 months ago.

^ Incorrect. Obama has not proposed raising income taxes above 2000 levels (yet). However, he has proposed reversing the capital gains tax cut that Clinton signed into law in 1998.
Apparently, he WANTS to discourage investment in the United States. go figure. 6/4/2008 11:03:18 AM |

boone, some of the best salesmen have charisma. Some of the best minds and business leaders have little.
Thats why I tend to listen to WHAT they are saying, not how they say it or thier delivery.
Obama will be under heavy fire for his spending proposals(couldnt in the primary). Obviously, it wont matter to most of his supporters, but it will matter to a ton of voters. 6/4/2008 11:04:50 AM |

As far as experience goes-- he went from the son of a single mother to the first black president of the Harvard Law Review. 8 years in state legislature, 4 in the US Senate.
