using a diva cup is no grosser than pulling out a bloody tampon. Once you figure it out it all stays in the cup so you never have to touch the blood.

It's not like I go and reach my hand up my vag and put a death grip on the tamp to pull it out.

Pretty sure I don't touch blood either.

ok so serious question: this divacup thing is like a catchers mitt you put in your vag to catch all the err, umm, flow and stuff until you empty it out?

Yeah, creates an airtight seal so there is no leaking or smell.

I use Playtex Beyond tampons and pantyliners. I can't wear a tampon for the last day or two because its just too light.

Yeah, divacups are just gross.
And applicatorless tampons are a learned practice, that I have not learned and do not care to do so.

Neither

Although when I still had to use one or the other, it was nothing but O.B. tampons.

if I was a girl I imagine I'd go with tampons, pads seem like they would feel like diapers.. or at least seem like they don't create a "seal" against the vaginal opening so you might have some seepage

tampons just make so much sense to me. I mean you can't swim when you wear a pad, you have a nasty smell that follows you around.

I wore a pad the first two years of my period until I finally learned how to shove that tampon up my cooter. Now it's free sailing.

hahahahahaha!!! I have not used pads in about 13 years.

I use plastic applicator tampons. Cardboard tampons hurt me.

I prefer the anti-baby shot once every 3 months... then there's no need for either

there's not usually enough blood that there are leaks beyond the pad (not to mention that there are a wide range of kinds of pads: you could easily bleed through a pantyliner on a heavy day, but you most likely wouldn't be wearing a pantyliner as a pad anyhow)

only if you don't change them often enough: you're supposed to change them about as often as you change tampons

When my bleeding was heaviest last week and the doctor said I could only use pads you bet the biggest diaper couldn't stop the flow from going everywhere. When you sleep with a pad it changes shape, when you sit then stand up you feel goop come out, it doesn't matter how many times you wipe you'll see blood and never feel "clean", pads are bigger and in bright wrappers in your open purse, everytime you move you're reminded of the nastiness your vag is spewing, you have to sit spread eagle so as not to get blood everywhere when going potty, you cant flush em and wrapping them on themselves is a fun trick to learn, your man can't tickle your vag cause there's a diaper in the way.................

I had a lot of trouble during pregnancy with my daughter including bleeding for 5 months (2 months heavily). Pads and I got aquainted very well during that time and I hated them. Then, for what seemed like forever, I had to wear pads after my daughter was born. I was really sore down there for a long time for various reasons, so tampons have just now become comfortable again and my daughter is 20 months old. But tampons ftw.

Oh, and I feel left out that I've never heard of the Diva Cup before. It looks reusable...is it?
