you never heard of the top recruit in the country two years ago, SEC freshman of the year... I thought you followed college football, but its ok, he is a pretty obscure player on a obscure team in an obscure conference. He was suspended for multiple games, and "unofficially suspended" for others, failed a drug test, was almost attacked by teammates before the SEC Champ game because he refused to listen to Richt.
Quote : | "The 19-year-old from Columbus came to Athens as one of the most heralded recruits signed by the Bulldogs since you know who, but almost from the start the vibes were bad.
Word leaked out last summer that Crowell wasn’t in good shape and had skipped some workouts. Members of the team felt the need to pay him a visit and tell him he needed to get it in gear.
Once the season started, we saw that Crowell was every bit as talented as had been billed, but fans couldn’t help but notice that he wasn’t exactly the hardest working kid on the field, frequently taking himself out of the lineup.
He hit his stride midseason, carrying the ball 30 times against Ole Miss for 147 yards, one of four 100-yard rushing games he had for the Bulldogs.
Then Crowell sat out the first quarter of the Vandy game for an unspecified rules violation and was suspended for the entire New Mexico State game along with some other teammates who reportedly failed a drug test." |

thats odd that you typed cheeseburger, pizza, milkshake in your response as that has nothing to do with anything we were talking about.
and for a sport you dont follow all that much you sure did rush in here to say "who?", I mean, I dont even know if I have a 7th favorite sport but if I did I probably wouldn't be checking threads about it, especially since there is a NC State Football 2012 thread which probably contains all the info you are actually interested in... but I bet you would have done that for anyone that posted the story though. 6/29/2012 4:15:51 PM |

Quote : | "Robert Woods was still able to catch 111 balls for 1,292 yards and 15 touchdowns last year despite playing through an ankle injury. That kind of production made him the top name on most lists of wide receivers eligible for the 2013 NFL draft. News out of Southern California could make the condition of his ankle more important to teams evaluating his stock than it was a few weeks ago.
Pedro Moura of ESPN Los Angeles reports that USC head coach Lane Kiffin said Woods is not yet 100 percent. Moura added that Woods has not yet been medically cleared to practice, and Kiffin also said the ankle "never recovered the way it was supposed to," and that there have been "setbacks."
The Sports Xchange reports that Kiffin said Woods was only "75 percent" last year during his standout season, which is impressive, but it also makes one wonder if he did permanent damage to the joint, especially in light of its inability to heal completely by late July after offseason surgery.
Woods should be commended for his ability to produce through pain, but the intense once-over that teams give draft prospects in the combine could reveal that his ankle will never be truly right again if he rushes back from his slow recovery or opts to avoid additional surgery needed to correct the healing process." |

So the number is odd because there is a 4 team tourney with 3 games? I'm kind of confused on how you cna have an odd number of teams eligible. 4 play for the championship and the last 1-3 teams play against the losers of the first round?
Even if most teams have no postseason at least all of the games will be high quality. I rather have 5-7 teams than the current 50 teams or whatever it is. 8/3/2012 3:42:33 PM |
