^My brother is going to that show. He saw Phish up in Atlantic City in June.

He used to follow Phish up and down the East Coast but now I think he sticks with just the NC/VA area.

same here, partly because I'm getting too old to trek like that, partly because they just havent been playing well enough to warrant anything more than a three hour drive. apparently they've stepped up their game this summer though

hmm in that case, you could do a stir fry chicken and basil, or a thai lemon shrimp and basil.

You can do something totally different and make some misua.

My mother makes them pretty dry in a wok, but they can also be brothy too. The noodles are pretty consistent with the spaghetti squash, i think it would be perfect.

i had this on a flat bread pizza with raw thai chilies and green peppercorns, blew my goddamned mind. love this normally with rice and a fried egg too. make it a lot, super simple, but really has to be the right thai basil.e

Swinkle that's the idea. Use some sort of stock though, more flavorful. We also add fish sauce or fish paste to it ( if that's your kind of thing). Or if you can't find any, use chopped anchovies.

^ I think I'm going to try that tonight using some homemade chicken and fish stocks.

^^ and since I also want to make all of that I'm glad I have a credit with the market and can go back and get like 5 more bags of basil

I forgot the Harris Teeter by my house doesn't stock spaghetti squash anymore (WTF :mad so I am going with pilgrim's thing today. But I really want to try the misusa, so I will probably get more stuff for that soon. Please do share any recipes you have. The only Filipino dish that I know if I've ever had was pancit. But I keep hearing how awesome lumpia is (are? is that singular or plural ... or both?) so I want to try that too. And I love making new things.

I use sriracha all the time, but after using whole chilies just now I realize I love things with them more than anything with a sauce.

However, something about the sriracha + bananas thing made me thing about the time I put it on ice cream, which somehow led me to think "I wonder how sriracha salt could play into the salted caramel trend?"

It was right after I had discovered it (which, somehow, was only 2.5 years ago) and found out how much I loved it and wanted to put it on everything. And sweet heat can work, so I tried it. Not the best. But I have a recipe for a sriracha peach crisp I do want to try.
