No doubt Carolina has the money. But hey, so does West Virginia. So do a lot of programs. Don't underestimate schools like WVU, Louisville, and Boston College who have lots of big time coffers or a large alumni base. There are lots of Mountaineer fans who literally spend their life savings on WVU football.

Actually, there is a program where NCSU alumni can turn over their entire estates to NC State as a final donation after they pass away.....

are you fucking kidding me? are you not an observer of the human condition?

maybe its supposed to be just a game, but its not.

without writing an essay for you - its not just a game - its the manifestation of our deepest tribal instincts. and i don't know, maybe that's what's wrong with it all.

but its much more than a game - for better or worse - its much more than a game.

To a great many, it's all of what you said during game time.. but at the end of the day there are far more important things in life they care about.

There are way more important things to do than to worry about win/loss records between schools. The sad thing is that much of our culture, politics and business in centered around college football/basketball around here.

After working in the General Assembly, I got so sick and tired of hearing that dumb bitch Debrah Purdue and the other fatass unc grad legislators talk yak yak yak about when they were history students at UNCommunity College/going to dean dome and often digressing and making everyone stay longer.

I just wanted to lob a few frag grenades in the senate chambers just to hear "Hey look, black baseballs, you know I love Carolina baseba..." before the explosion....

I heard that small private baptist school more commonly known as West Virginia University is on the verge of filing bankruptcy

OH SHIT

I forgot how to spell his name. He must be a shitty coach.... Nehlen, not Neyland. Whatever.

no, that wasnt just spelling it wrong, it was the wrong name period.

Nehland and Neyland are not pronounced the same so he must not have made too much of an impression on you..

It would be like calling Bowden Bowdine

^ But for another goddamn team

And you get the point. This is not a phonics class. My old neighbor is named Reid Neyland. His last name is pronounced "Nee-lin" like Don Nehlen.

Don Nehlen, Don Neyland, its gonna sound the same, not Neyland as in Neyland Stadium or Gen. Robert Neyland.

HA, I KNEW someone would claim that now.... back when I said it would be RR unless Butch Davis took it first everyone made fun of both picks "no way", "bullshit" etc. I KNEW someone would bitch up and claim that shit now.

But....

Is Rich Rodriguez at UNC?

What is the thread title?

You didn't make some great discovery. Butch Davis was the first name that came up, even before Bunting was fired. Stating the condition "... unless Butch Davis..." is lame.

Hey, the Panthers will win the Superbowl...

unless the Chicago Bears win it.
