They definitely talked about it on ESPNEWS on their looping coverage. They gave a Q&A part with Schad that lasted ~5 minutes. As for Sportscenter, I do not know. I did not watch it last night.

I'm a grad student at University of Colorado at Boulder and I work as a tutor for the athletic department.

We just had our mandatory beginning-of-year training, and the compliance officer started off with the question "Is anyone familiar with what's happening at the OTHER UNC? (that acronym means Univ of Northern Colorado out here)" I just took my NC State hat off and raised it in the air.

But yeah, it's making waves. I'll assure you every other NCAA program is following this.

When I worked for the athletic dept and helped with tutoring student athletes I remember there was a heavy emphasis on NEVER giving them any type of answers or doing any work for them specifically because of stuff like this.

Good thing I didn't do all of Rivers Calc for him, we might have lost out on one of the only years we were better than decent haha

It would take a fuckton of money to tempt any person familiar with college to write multiple papers for anyone, regardless of their commitment to the school . saw them talk about this for about 5 minutes on ESPN(2?) just a min ago, and already Robert Smith was saying how sorry he felt for Davis and giving the "everybody else cheats" speech. i'm not surprised by ESPN though. i was listening to 99.9 earlier today and a couple of callers were harping on the "everybody else cheats" garbage. a message to anybody thinking that UNC is just being picked on:
- college athletes, especially at D1 schools, get special treatment
- a lot of athletes... a lot of students in fact... cheat or get extra and / or questionable help with homework and exams (aka, WE GET IT ALREADY)
- UNC is being investigated because enough blatant evidence was found against them to warrant the NCAA's time (if you want a comparison, cops don't bother looking for a high school kid drinking at home alone.. but when everybody in the tri-state area hear's about Bobby's greatest party ever on Facebook and Twitter, somebody's probably going to look into it)
- this whole deal is getting worse because it involves at least one employee of the university writing papers for players (and it looks twice as bad that the same employee was also closely tied to the coach of said players)

and fuck Brett Jensen...he has always been anti-NCSU, then this week he tries to call out State fans who call out UNC for their "holier than thou" mentality...this is the same "journalist" who reported while filling in for Brenston on the Frank and Buck Show that "Inside Carolina is reporting that the NCAA will have a ruling by 3 Fridays ago"

I loved it when Yarbrough immediately said that Baddour released a statement that the story was untrue...yet Brett Jensen "reported" it anyway...oh well, I guess I couldn't complain much if I got paid to get wasted in Athens and Clemson and give my biased opinion on college sports...what a fucking joke of a "journalist"...talk about somebody who is incapable of removing his own personal bias from his reporting
