I know a few of us here liked The Duchess and the Duke album from last year.

Here's their new one

another new Omar Rodriguez-Lopez album to check out haha. Its called Solar Gambling. If I pick it up tonight I'll try and post a link.

Also, if anyone on here hasn't listened to Harvard before, check their new stuff out. http://www.myspace.com/harvard

You would probably like them if you enjoy stuff like Cool Hand Luke, As Tall As Lions, mewithoutYou, Circa Survive etc. Good guys from Charlotte that have been kicking stuff around for a long time and have finally started to click. I hope this is the album that gets them onto a larger radar.

idk if you guys like the take away shows, but a new one came out with Phoenix today. If you haven't seen the other videos...might as well check them out while you're there. Damn well worth it.

no it's not.

[Edited on December 5, 2009 at 12:27 AM. Reason : maybe if he were singing with phil, brad and joe]

also it was way better when grizzly bear did it. bon iver sounds like a mediocre acapella group.

the show last night was at a theater so the seating was.. well seats. really cool old place but i wasnt sure about it for a music show. but it turned out to be pretty fine. phoenix is kinda bland to me beside their couple hits. spoon was ok, but got a little boring at the end. passion pit rocked the house though. i was afraid the balcony above was going to to come down. everyone in the theater was dancing like idiots.

From a purely objective perspective, the only thing worse than Billy Corgan's singing voice is his speaking voice.

eh that song wasn't too bad. it'd be nice if the new stuff won't be as god awful as zeitgeist, but i'm not holding my breath.

i thought it sucked

i really don't like how Corgan's voice has been sounding since Zeitgeist

it's too processed and focused and you can hear it way above the music

please release a studio version of "Fuck You: An Ode To No One" like you played it at the Orange Peel

that is how I will remember SP

good stuff. i forget when I went. I think it was on a Thurs or Friday though because I stayed in the mtns for a few days. I'd actually be more interested in seeing a different set than the one I got.

Soft Machine – Live at Henie Onstad Art Centre 1971

I'm not sure if this belongs here or not.
It was recorded in 1971, but just now released.

It is most certainly as quality as anything posted in this thread.
