Gosh, what a huge win for NC State! So So Huge. Ced looked awesome! A Little sloppy at times as a whole, defense was excellent. Should put us in top 15!

I honestly can't believe they left Ced that open that many times, especially after the first one where the dude wasn't even paying attention.

Also, gg GW coach for saying "that's not fair" 41 times after he got T'd up.

GREAT win.

Even though GW's schedule so far wasn't impressive, I thought they'd actually give us a game. Instead we just handed them a beating.

Now let's just keep on rolling through January!

"We were really on top of our assignments," Atsur said. "We just shared the ball well, and when we do what our coach tells us to do, we find easy baskets."

Believe it or not some ppl actually go to the games. Kudos to what students did show up. Behind the goals was pathetic. Crowd was larger than I thought would have been. Scalpers made a load of money outside before the game. Lowers were goin for $75 and it wasn't full but I guess it sold out.

Interesting note from the espn.com article:

Quote :
"It was their first home victory over a ranked, non-conference opponent since Feb. 8, 1986, when they beat No. 16 Louisville 76-64 under coach Jim Valvano."

Well George Washington DID beat Maryland, so hopefully that means we'll be able to take care of the Terps this year as well, haha.

But it was definitely a good solid win for our team, hopefully get us some more respect, but more importantly, hopefully will give us a lot of confidence heading into January.

You just don't see that written about the pack very often. lets see that again...

i've never had gripes with herb, just that our system needed a little tweaking because of our athleticism...

now that's what we're doing...we run more...we take shots early in the shot clock if they're good looks...and we look GREAT...i think herb finally caved in and brought a little more Pitino into our Princeton system...

but i know this...nc state is HARD to stop when we run...and then if nothing is there set up a Princeton offense...that's the ultimate double edged sword and i think that 90% of the herb haters just wanted more open court action...now it's a great mix of both (minus the iowa game )

add in great defense and great free throw shooting...

and this might be the first year we can all JUSTIFY having nc state win in our tournament brackets

We definetely look solid other than Iowa. If GW pans out to be worthy of thier hype, I really am impressed with this team. We certainly must be tough to defend with such a wide scoring threat and an actual inside presence this year. I'm glad to see us taking it inside more this year.

As ugly as the Iowa game was, it was probably needed. We still only lost by three with some controversial officiating on the last possession.

I definetely think that's one both NC State and Iowa would like to forget about.

If ever a game was played where both teams deserved to lose, that was it.

this may have been the first ncsu game ive actually enjoyed watching in like 5 years. I think its b/c our team finally has athletic ability

when i say that i mean we didnt play like ass in the 2nd half or have a stretch where we shot 0-28194864780236287 in the 2nd half. We looked like a good team should look.

I think this may be the first year in a while where our center stays inside the arc for the majority of the time on each offensive possession.

well fuck...now that we're talking about winning a NC, we're fucked....great job guys .

But I'm impressed. We didnt even shoot well from 3 last night for the first part of the game. B-rack was the only one besides Engin that hit some shots in the first half...so its like I say....we're in good shape because when everyone is cold, we've still got someone that can hit a shot, and sometimes it only takes one to bring you out of the slump.

I'd say the Wake/Richmond game qualifies for that as well

Wake only made 12 field goals the ENTIRE game

and Richmond could have easily won the game but didn't

i wonder how many ranked non-conf opponents we've even PLAYED at home over the last 10 years. OOC strength-of-schedule has not really been one of our selling points...

this year is a nice change

^Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I know we've played ranked non-conference teams, but we've lost some of those in the past 15 years and others weren't at home.
