We got into the water with a huge, naturally dangerous animal who's been cooped up all life and he fucking attacked us!!! We didn't know this could happen.

M husband suggested Blackfish this afternoon. I vetoed it. We will watch it eventually but I was not in the mood for a depressing movie.

holy shit talhotblond is a disturbing news-doc.

It's along the lines of Catfish but, much much more sick, IMO.

Centurion was excellent. the opening battle has a pike to the nuts, how can you go wrong?

Ironclad is pretty awesome too in that same genre

Watched most of "Frances Ha" last night. The dialogue can be exhausting but I was really liking it. It's on AV Club's best movies of the year. If you like Woody Allen's Manhattan (and you should) then you'll probably like it.

watched The Lifeguard today. Starring Kristen Bell and Martin Starr. pretty run of the mill indie drama, but it was nice.

also finished Top of the Lake, a 7-part BBC miniseries. It was good, but I was just a bit underwhelmed with the finale.

Indie Game: The Movie

don't watch Dear Zachary unless you don't mind spending the rest of the day sad and depressed. now with that warning, it's very powerful.

I watched that whole thing a year or so ago, but I remember being completely underwhelmed by the ending. To the point that I have not even a slight recollection of what happened, and I'm too disinterested to even google it to refresh my memory.

Watched talhotblonde the other night (per your guys rec) and enjoyed it. Was disturbed by the feelings of familiarity and déjà vu I had throughout.

Stand Up Guys.

Pacino, Walken, Arkin. All old school gangsters living it up for one last night. Highly entertaining.

I liked "Happy People:A Year in the Taiga" a lot...which isn't on your list. I generally like any Herzog piece, but that one especially.

"Touching the Void" is also fantastic...it's about a disaster on Everest. can't recommend it enough.

Senna, Exit Through The Gift Shop, and Jiro Dreams of Sushi were
All good.

"the Imposter" was pretty good...not on your list

I thought Man on Wire was really overrated. heard people recommend "Marewencol" too, but I had to turn it off

And yes, Dear Zachary is the most depressing story ever known to man. DO NOT READ ABOUT IT if you think you will watch it. Just go in to watch it blindly....crazy story

Toad Road. It was pretty boring, pretty much just watching a bunch of losers do drugs then go for a hike in the woods.

Frankenstein Theory and Devils Pass were decent "found footage" movies.
