Even if it is true, I don't think it's child molestation. He and the alleged victim are less than two years (but more than 1 year) apart in age. So it's more like regular molestation...a weird chest grab when they were kids that allegedly continued and escalated each time they saw each other at family functions over the following decade.

My point is that money, especially in someone who never had much, attracts legal attention from all kinds of places. Whatever legal troubles or vulnerabilities existed before the fund will be exacerbated, and I would be shocked if new ones don't come up.

Will this fund increase or decrease the likelihood that this woman files some kind of civil suit against him vs. if he were prosecuted without having this fund? Will this fund increase or decrease the likelihood of a bandwagon or copycat allegation?

Very little good can come from this money once it was in the newspapers. At best, he could hope that fund will grow with the drama.

Just for the sake of argument, lets say Zim is totally right. Everything Zim claims is the absolute truth. He did himself no favors in that interview, and he seriously said some really stupid shit. If his lawyer was sitting next to him, why did he not advise him not to answer some of those questions, just like he would advise during a police interview. Zim did himself no favors by that interview, and I have seen more of it since I posted last night.

I can say this honestly. When this case first came up, and the initial facts came in, I was in the Zim camp. I believed his side of the story. However, the more I hear him talk, with interviews like the one yesterday, the more he sounds like a total moron. I am now becoming very critical of him because the more he talks the dumber he sounds. And I know im not the only one who feels this way.
