LOL you're stuck with LEDO PIZZA.

Come down to DC and get some Italian Store pizza.

^x5 Got to be talking about the Schianno's on Glenwood. They have a different owner than the others around Raleigh and in this case, different = better.

No, I wasn't drunk. I've lived in Raleigh my whole life and that's my list. And yes, I was talking about Schianno's on Glenwood. Ruckus just has what I want in a pizza.

I didn't even know there was more than one Schiano. The one on Glenwood makes the best calzone.

Ugh don't get me started on this place.. a coworker used to go out every other day or so and pick up lunch for our lab, but he wanted to goto Ledo's twice a week if it was up to him. Shit is so nasty.

I haven't been to Italian Store, but next time I'm down that way for a meeting at NRL I'll hit it up along the way back

Asking about the best pizza in Raleigh is like asking about the biggest shit taken in Philadelphia.

Current favorite is Camos Brothers in North Raleigh. Ruckus is a close second though.

I'm getting the idea that synapse lives in North Raleigh too.

Salvio's in North Raleigh is very, very good. Probably second only to Ruckus in my book.

I dunno why Frank's has such a following. If you're getting cheese, it's pretty good, but when I went, I got mushrooms and they were horrible, canned mushrooms.

Still loving Salvio's and Ruckus (Mission Valley). D'Mo's is pretty good for delivery if you're downtown. Went to Moonlight finally and really wasn't impressed at all. The braided crust is kinda gimmicky.

Has anyone tried Pizza La Stella? When they open their Hillsborough location I'll check them out.

^^La Stella is pretty great pizza. I heard the location opening on Hillsborough wasn't going to have pizza though, so you might as well just go to Fayetteville. I think Mondays is BOGO.

Cozzolino's in southwest Cary apparently closed sometime in the spring. Very sad, that was some of the best NY style pizza around. Checked out Mike's Pizza a few months ago on New Bern. Pretty good NYC style.

Pizza La Stella has that $5 personal pan pizza at the outdoor window deal after... may not be midnight, might be 1am or so. It feels like it's to compete with Benny's up the street, but both are pretty fucking good late night.

Speaking of which, Benny's downtown is like... all I ever wanted. Super late night huge pizza by the slice. Not always great quality but pretty serviceable.

Benny's is perfectly acceptable 2 AM pizza. I wouldn't make any effort to go there if any other place is open.

I’ve been digging Neapolitan style recently. Tre Forni in Durham is good.

Just got back from NYC so taking it easy on pizza for a bit..

I went to the new La Stella last night on Hillsborough St. - they do have pizza and it was fantastic. I wish I could find the description online but it was basically a red sauce pizza with marinated jerk chicken, roasted corn, jalapenos, and cilantro and it was damn good. I'll definitely be back there. The other plates I saw looked great too.
