I made a thread about the subject once. I threatened a lot of people in it. A lot of people threatened me.

Threats on the tubes aren't usually serious, and bringing the law in is almost always bullshit.

So why should the media outlets believe you that your threats weren't serious, do they know you, or should they automatically give you the benefit of the doubt? Or should they just think it's pathetic that people who are older than 21 engage in these "not usually serious" threats with strangers (unless of course you knew everyone you were involved with in this issue) over the internet rather than face to face.

Yes, they indeed should give you the benefit of the doubt. Freedom of speech is so important that it always has to come first. If you see a threat on the tubes, assume nothing will come from it.

I'm not even sure I agree with spoken or typed threats ever warranting legal action.

so, if someone threatened you mother you wouldnt want anyone to look into it b/c they were more than likely just kidding

do you want them to wait until someone gets hurt or killed before acting on threats
look how that turned out for 9/11 when the usa was warned on high level threat activity but we gave the "benefit of the doubt"

The I guess you've been wrong before as well, because obvioulsy WRAL and entire websites that are now aware of the aforementioned thread don't have experience judging from thier appaled expressions. You've been completely desensitized from years of TWW (if indeed, you're not 12) to where this type thing isn't a big deal to you.
