I think that if there is a special forum for new people it would greatly help. All the threads that have been done, and then done again and again once a new crowd arrives, could all go there. This way everyone could post in just one thread, leaving a living record off all who have come to tww. These threads should eventually get quite large, depending on how long tww lasts.

This will eliminate the frustration felt by old and new when something is posted for the fourth time and someone quickly points out its been done and insert link here...

Just a thought, it could be the "Get To Know Those On TWW" section, cause all that shit would be in one section...maybe you could even limit newbie activity say to 30 posts minimum in the "Get To Know" section, that way the new wont piss off the old soo quickly, then once they get their 30 they are free to roam the lounge etc...

Just a thought

excluding the newbies would only make things worse, the only way they get to be part of this in the first place is to jump right in there and start talking, maybe it's the attitudes of the vets that needs to be changed

And what if someone joins during a slow week when no one else is joining?
He would be alone in the Newbie section for a few days. BORING!

How about just give all Newbies a simple list of what specific things we've all already seen?
(With a stern warning not to re-post any of them)

Examples:
The rebuilt WTC, giving the finger
"Come Mr. Taliban"
The pathetic young kid desperately looking for a girlfriend
Osama==O.J.
Any game of shooting Osama
Spank the Monkey game
etc.

The Gonads and Strife cartoon
That Canadian "Thanks USA" article or whatever the hell that was.

Why don't the veterans train newbies like a lot of businesses do? We should take them into our rooms, show them the use of crazy codes, how to post pictures, and give them a general idea of who is who and what has been posted. I'm sure a lot of people would want to do this

And take advantage of them? Cause that is the only way I see a large number of vets wanting to invite a newbie into their home...

Like I said just a thought...
