Lutra... the rescuing kittens thing is probably a sidequest part that will result in a heartpiece or something...
In other games you have had to rescue chickens and pigs, etc...

Zelda would not be the same without sidequests. It's just another thing that is a staple of the series. It amazes me how you can get so involved in something that basically has no real outcome on the main plot of the game. Bring on the cats, I say!

Zelda is my favorite game of all time. I'ved played most of them numerous times through. Zelda fans like more of the same in each game, b/c that is what made the games popular in the first place.
and cucoos and holding onto them is a great addition to the game that comes from previous games.
and i love the sidequests... i don't beat the game until i have all the items, completed the sidequests, etc....

if the title is twilight princess...that isn't so bad... i could give a crap about the title really...i'm sure the game is going to be awesome.

if that is the title (we will find out tomorrow at the nintendo press conference), then i bet the princess is cursed or something (turns into a wolf at night or something) and you have to lift the curse..or something... i think that would be cool

I just watched all those videos and all I can say is wow! If this were a fertility clinic, I'd have filled the cup past the brim by now.

My only question is, are we going to have to go to that menu to select what level we want to play, or was that just for the convenience of showing off different parts of the game at E3? It just seems too...un-Zelda-like to have to select various stages of the game through a menu.

that was just for E3...they had that as a playable demo and people could select which of 4 stages they wanted to do..
1. village 2. field 3. temple 4. boss battle

those were the only ones available for playing....

but they have confirmed this game will have MORE dungeons/temples than Ocarina of Time and MORE items as well, many of them unique to the series....i can't wait

Well I think a larger Hyrule field is great and all, and it is more realistic to have to rely upon travel by horse than travel by foot alone, but I hope it isn't so big that travel becomes tedious and boring (ala Wind Waker, but I've pretty much gotten use to it).

^they said you can travel by horse...however, they also said there are ever FASTER ways of transportation, via rivers, waterways (not like windwaker, faster) and they also hinted at a mode of transportation by AIR...

in other words, they said it would NOT be tedious like wind waker was at times

there is fruity guy dancing in the town of the windwaker preaching gay tolerance who has a rainbow on his shirt

things like this appear all over the zelda series, take the builders in the non-main town of ocarina of time.

They've said several times that there's no voice acting in this game, so that's probably referring to the little grunts and blurbs the characters blurt out from time to time.

God I hope he isn't. I didn't mind him so much in Majora's Mask, but I wanted to choke the life out of him in Wind Waker. 394 ruppees to decode a friggin' map that I need to beat the game? That's fucking obsene!

I dunno, maybe Tingle became a huge celebrity over in Japan, but you'll be hard-pressed to find anybody in America who took a liking to him.
