first of all, i think school tool is so usefull it should have its own domain... i think something like schooltool.brentroad.com would be cool, maybe more outsiders would see it that way, as the school tool could be advertised seperately... its taht damn good. just a suggestion.

also, it would be cool if the front school tool page showed the number of people who have entered there classes or something to that effect.

just thoughts... know you've got lots of shit to do.

make it searchable by who got an A or a B in the class (of those that chose to include grades) that you're taking now. say I need help in BUS 350 this semester, it'd be great if there was a quick way to find out which users got good grades in that class, so I could send that person a private mail to ask for help on homeworks or if they'd be interested in tutoring. maybe even make "available for tutoring" an option for those students who got As and Bs.

is it possible to look up someone's schedule? i mean, like if you looked at my profile, you could click a link that took you to my current class schedule.

i dunno...just a thought.

I would think that the user schedules should be made available at the user's request, meaning that Jake would need to make up some kind of an opt-in system to put the link to my schedule in my profile, as Kay_Yow suggests.

jackleg: the GPA calculator is a great idea...especially if you can configure it to do major GPA's which ncsu.edu won't allow.

Kay_Yow: I'm not a big fan of that idea and if it was implemented I'm about 99% sure permission will have to be given.

that page ripped off our style sheets and format for the top bar!!!!!!!! the rest of the site looks pretty promising though. not the first people who ripped it off though.

when you do the mass add, does the school tool take those grades and calculate your GPA from that? or what exactly is the GPA that shows up?

what prevents people from changing their grades on the transcript printout before submitting it? couldn't that mess up the statistics?

I think it's the average gpa of all those taking the class. Like if a class had all B's, the gpa for that class is a 3. This gpa doesn't use your actual grades, it uses class averages.
