Their self-titled debut is out now and its a nice surprise. I remember hearing "Upon This Tidal Wave of Young Blood" a while ago but didnt know who it was by. Could be this years Arcade Fire although the guys voice might be a little off-putting compared to Win Butler's.

http://clapyourhandssayyeah.com/shows.php
They have three songs available for downloading off the album. Enjoy.

Sounds okay, but the guy's voice is kind of hard to get used to.

Of course, by the end of the first song I was used to it >.<

sounds more talking heads/violent femmes to me. but skin of my yellow country teeth definitely has a modest mouse sound to it. at least in the bending of that one note.

^^I never even read the review, but it doesn't take a genius to figure that one out. Everyone who's listened to it at my house has said that.

current favorite is "this home on ice"

anyway, I already purchased tickets, but could someone tell me what the deal is with having to be a member in advance to attend? I don't want to drive to Carrboro just to join beforehand, but of course I will if necessary

you need a membership to be able to attend shows. i think its a yearly one-time fee you pay to make yourself eligible to to buy tickets and go to shows for that year.

you can fill out a membership form online (local506.com) and just pay the $5 or $6 for it at the door the night of the show...otherwise you'll have to stand in line and fill it out on the clipboard when you get there.
