^^^ i emailed that guy when he posted it the first time and never got a response.. i dont know whats wrong with people who are selling shit.. but if you want to sell something you have to respond to the people.. i've contacted probably 10 people about cars in the last 2 months and the ones i would seriously buy pretty much on the spot never got back to me.. worthless people..

Your e-mails are probably in his "junkmail" folder and he is like "dayum....Nobody wants this tight bimmer?"

Try changing the subject line of the e-mail from the standard reply to something more informal.

i got a buddy that has a 325ix that just sits in his parents' yard waiting to be repaired, might need a new engine though

if you wanted the trouble you could probably make him any offer since he's always strapped for cash

^^ yeah i thought about that.. sometimes i send the same email from another address.. i usually put the car type in the subject.. like "318is" or "bmw 318is".. not usually too much more than that..

Ya, I really want an 88 or higher 325 i or is, no ix's and no e cars either...

Thanks for any heads up, and PS: The craigslister does not respond to e-mails, as I've tried.

im pretty sure the biggest issue with the IX is that they were pretty rare and there are a lot of suspension components and stuff that are unique to that model (including some stuff that really doesnt need to be different). so the parts can be expensive if something breaks

Damn it you sirs, I'm going to buy another 944 Turbo. I'm tired of slow cars, or chasis' that need a lot of work to make fast. I hate all of you and everybody else. I, most of all, hate Porsches...

Nothing against the e30 man, I think they're hot shit. I just want a car I can abuse on and off track. The e30 turbo idea seemed interesting and unique enough but by the time I'm done re-engineering the car to suit it's new power level (not to mention getting it there), I mean it's going to need a custom engine management just to hit the stock power level of a 944 t, let's not forget my last 944t put down 314ft-lbs @the wheels with just, and only chips...

what car suits that more than an e30? how many 951s do you see on track, relatively?

^^We saw 3 951's on track at Road Atlanta last weekend. Considering only 11,000 worldwide production and only about half of those making to the states (the car has been out of production for neary 2 decades), that's a pretty decent amount for a single track event.

Yeah, one of those 951s had over 150k miles on it, and 60 track events. Semi daily driver owned by a retired mechanical engineer who also has a vintage Mercedes and Ferrari. His wife has it straight w/a new AMG Benz... Anyway, point being they seem to be able to take some sort of abuse well, and they come with force fed and capable brakes/cooling system, and the chasis/suspension is stout...

Ya, I've started looking at 951s, and almost found one I liked, but it looks at this point like... not quite yet.

Anyway, I would still not pass up a descent e30, anyone know an example for sale?

You don't have a descent e30, you have a pristine e30. This means it's worth well over $2k. That means I'm not interested.

Coming from the guy who turbocharged his e30 for a high school project, and sold the set-up when he ran out of money.

I spend money, I spend lots. There's just limits on what I'll spend money on, and how.

hey now, i didnt run out of money.

My priorities changed. I realized that having a turbocharged BMW wasnt in the best interest of my transportation needs right now. Plus i needed to do some more work on it and was tired of messing with it

If i ran out of money i dont see how i funded my trip to Europe this summer ; \

ya bitch! We need to gather nick and go find some food sometime. I enjoyed last time, although i guess we should avoid any politcal discussions with nicholas
