http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/entertainment/40inch-lcd-prices-falling-buy-two-114836.php

This reminded me that my econ prof. last semester, Dr. Hymen actually predicted this.

Too bad I just dropped 1600 bones on a sharp aquos. But I got a good deal anyway.

Anyone else foresee this actually happening?

Well obviously technology progresses and prices falls, but they are talking a pretty drastic drop in that article.

considering i can get a 20" now for what i paid 3 years ago for a 15"..... this is no surprise.

that being said... i can't wait til i can get an awesome like 24" or 30" (like that massive apple beast) for really cheap. the best i've seen so far is like $800 for a nice 23"

People have been "predicting" this for years. Every year it's "LCDs will be within range this year". Of course, this year it looks like it is really happening, but it's been a gradual process over the past several years.

dr. hymen was one of the craziest professors i had. BUT he's one of the guys that predicts all kinds of crazy shit and then brags when one ends up being right

I know people "have been predicting this for years" but I was just saying that Dr. Hymen said that they would fall by such and such a percentage by october.

You know, I actually still think digital watches are a pretty neat idea.
