And then we moved it back to Reynolds because the atmosphere was second to none?

[/wishful thinking]

Entertainment and Sports Arena.

Although some fools would call it RESA, adding a "Raleigh" in front of it.

I call it ESA. Never stopped. So some canadian fucking bankers bought it... still the ESA, just out of spite.

We seriously need to move back to reynolds and move the women's basketball team to the outside courts behind carmichael.

that is stupid. i am against changing historic names for money as much as anybody

3com park?? fuck no, it's candlestick.

but the ESA? ESA isnt even a fucking name, its a description. do you call reynolds the coliseum or do you call it reynolds? do you call carter-finley the football stadium or do you call it carter-finley?

if some guy had put up a bunch of money to name the rbc, you guys wouldnt have a problem with it.

the only reason it was the esa is they never decided on a real name.

they should have named it after Jim Valvano, as many people suggested.

or they should move men's bb back to Reynolds where it belongs.

nope.

same reason they shouldn't name a stadium after Pete Rose, Barry Bonds, Raffy Palmeiro, etc.

^ On what grounds does valvano deserve to be grouped with them? Valvano was completely exhonerated and was even given the option to take his old job back. And as I would've done, he declined.

I'm with rwoody: there's nothing special about "ESA".
