So my car got smashed a few days ago in the rear by a runaway Lexus SUV (no, seriously)

Perfect opportunity for a body kit... any one have any good recommendations or companies that have particularly good looking kits for other cars/trucks?

I would find oem bumpers and leave it stock. Value of hondas are worth more when its stock. How much damage is your car? Insurance paying for it, or this out of your own pocket?

Haha guess I should have put more details. My family owns a marina and body shop so it's so taken care of. I know the car is worth more stock - we are getting honda parts for it but I was thinking about just puttin them back on when I go to sell/trade. The girl whose Lexus it was has insurance paying for the OEM parts. The damage is rear bumper only - didn't even crack the tail light amazingly!!! Her daddy's SUV will need a new rear quarter panel tho...

If you do decide on a body kit, I'd recommend something rather understated. You don't want to be scraping every speed bump.

girl, get whatever kit you want, dont listen to these fucks. jbaz especially is one nosy little twat.

search google for "accord forums" and see if any have an "appearance" section- then look for threads where people are showing off their kits to get an idea of what you like

OR google "accord body kit"

OR search eBay

This kit looks fairly clean minus the spoiler, i like the ones that look relatively close to stock like some of the vw stuff....nothing gaudy and flared

accord is one of those cars that doesnt look good with any body kit whatsoever. civic can look nice if it is really really understated (SI skirts or such). i would keep it stock and save $$$ for some other mods.

i am not thinking other mods are in her future, i may but wrong but i am just guessing

if she wants to get a body kit that's cool, let's just direct her to some more tasteful ones

best body kit = very very big spoiler and a very very big red type R sticker, but whatever you do make sure you have "VTEC" stamped all across your car.

otherwise go with something OEM.

i went with OEM body "additions" on my car (its a vw). its more understated that way and classier, IMO. unfortunately the front lip is only about 4" off the ground and it scrapes sometimes (driveways).

but, seriously, do what you want. its your car and you have to look at it/drive it. just shop around and find something that you think looks good.

look at HFP (Honda Factory Performance) parts...I think they make lips and sideskirts...and since it's factory it will make your car worth more instead of less.

BTW HFP is a lame attempt at honda to duplicate nismo or TRD

No she didn't just leave. Her car was parked in my neighborhood and she was in my friends house visiting her roomie. The car rolled out of park (completely turned off, no keys in the ignition) and rolled through the parking lot and ended when my car stopped it! RANDOM. She was totally cool about it - it was her step dad's and she was so nervous but I mean it was not either of our faults so it wasn't a big deal. We just switched info but her dad's paying for it out of pocket so their insurance doesn't go up.

My dad had the parts before I was even awake on Monday morning and the car was finished and detailed yesterday afternoon. I'll try and get some pics up :-)

Also, optmusprimer... I LOVE THAT KIT. I actually had looked at that one about a year ago and still was thinking about possibly doing it. It's simple and not overstated but looks very clean.

Norrin Radd, I would LOVE to put other mods on my car but unfortunately, I had to go with a 4-cyl because a 6-cyl accord fully loaded in black or white wasn't going to be available until January of '03 and I bought mine in Oct '02. ... the only other mods I would do is getting some nicer wheels and new exterior lights. All of my interior lights have already been converted to girly purple

i was mostly refering to performance mods as opposed to appearence.....but it doesn't really matter as long as you like what ever it is

the most important thing when getting a car is patients(sp?). I was never really happy with my first two cars cause i jumped into buying them instead of waiting on what i really wanted...luckly my sister totaled the first one for me and i sold the other to get my third car that i am actually happy with..............so long story short, ya should have held out for the v6

but yeah get some pics.....we should have another garage picture day as well
