i got mine near where they're building met-midtown... probably a 30 min walk down the stadium
(straight down stonewall till it turns into kennilworth then left @ baxter from the stadium)

yeah, i almost did, it's a nice area, but I can't deal with the traffic constantly. just the area around birkdale is a mess any hour of any day. i almost bought up by exit 28, still wouldn't mind moving up there if they ever figure out how to manage the traffic.

Living uptown is really nice - I love the easy access to 77 and it hasn't yet become unaffordable depending on where you look. My roomate is really into real estate and owns about 10 different houses/condos in and around uptown if anyone is interested in buying or renting.

that's cool, I know exactly where you are, that's a good area, just west of elizabeth. that place is about to blow up when they build that new project. hope we get the contract!

not a lot of info regarding the floor plans, but it should be good, and the area in wesley heights is transitioning quickly. not a lot of NEW single families in and around uptown, so I see a good opp.

^^^ south park area to uncc isn't too bad - half an hour down sharon amity and harris - if you get classes at the downtown uncc campus (mba program) it's pretty convenient actually

(currently 5 min down sharon rd from SP - since charlotte's not really a city of walkable neighborhoods it's about the best centrally located place to be imo - short drive to anything)

glad to hear, university is too far away. you'll be about 10 minutes from where my parents live probably (in the ballantyne area) and not too far away from me (take fairview from where i'm at and it turns into rama - idlewild and eventually hits independence and monroe and all those places east.

New place on Park Rd opened up called Ed's tavern. When it first opened up it looked dead, but I drove by there last night and the place was packed.

Anyone been there? It near south of Tremont on Park Rd.
