I got Fedora Core 4 installed under it and so far I'm pleased with the results. I'm running it full-screen @ the same resolution as my host operating system with only a couple things missing here and there. I especially like the fact I no longer have to deal with a dual-boot system + rebooting every time I want to switch between the two. Thinking of getting a second monitor if I don't find anything majorly wrong with it.

Anybody else played around with this yet? Thoughts/experiences?

The performance of the virtual disks is terrible in my experience. That's the main area where VMware kicks their butt.

I've never used VPC on Linux, but I have it for OS X. For the most part, it runs pretty well, but like Patman said it can run pretty slow if you use disk intensive applications.

Before I bought MATLAB for OS X, I tried running my Windows copy on VPC, and it wouldn't even work at all (some kind of fatal error). Everything else has worked well; I was quite suprised that I was able to connect to a VPN through a Win2k installation on VPC through my Mac.

Don't do any photoshop on it, and you should be good to go!
