How do I add a 'blog' to a personal website? Its for a friend who needs an easy way to update his daily journal, without having to know HTML.

I dont want it to be on a "xxx.blogspot.com" so I was wondering if there's code you can just insert onto a page that pulls up any new content that is submited. Is there a site that anyone can recommend that will accomplish this?
