Quote :
"Exige Compared to Elise
While the Elise and Exige use the same engine, chassis and gearbox, the Exige carries a higher level of standard equipment.

Key Exige differences
- Optional Elise Lotus Sport Suspension is standard
on Exige
- Forged wheels, stiffer springs and shocks
- Aerodynamic bodywork package
- Generates much greater downforce
- Greater downforce equals higher cornering
speeds
- Only produced with a hardtop
- Hardtop required to manage airflow to the
rear wing
- Body panels are produced using a 'hand-lay'
method
- Elise panels are formed under pressure in a
special Lotus molding process

Bodywork
- All CRP (Composite Reinforced Plastic) panels are produced using the 'hand-lay' method
- Gas strut engine cover support (internal release mechanism)

- Same controls except for buttons for air conditioner or recirculation are removed
- Deletion of the A/C system saves about 20 lbs.

Limited Slip Differential with Lotus Traction Control $1,790
- Torque-sensing limited slip differential designed to distribute power more evenly between the rear tires
- Reduces tendency to spin the inside rear tire when exiting low speed corners under heavy
acceleration
- Allows more aggressive acceleration out of low speed corners in autocross competition

Lotus Traction Control $495
- Modulates power through Engine Control Module in order to maximize grip
- Includes a console mounted switch to disable the system

Track Pack
Adjustable suspension components for the ultimate in set up $2,495
- Adjustable Bilstein dampers with remote front reservoirs and threaded spring perches. Compression
and rebound are adjusted together with a single knob
- 5 way adjustable front sway bar for tuning roll stiffness

under hard cornering

Interior Trim

Sport seat is standard
- Black cloth standard
- Black leather is optional with the Touring Pack
- Elise seat base with revised backrest
- Features harness cut-outs and larger wings

ProBax padding
- Developed with NuBax
- Features new anatomical padding with multi-density
foams
- Foams contoured and strategically placed to reduce
seat pressure, enhance comfort and improve seated
posture
- Upholds the natural curve of the spine and allows
tendons and ligaments, instead of muscles, to
support the spine.

contribute to back pain
- Better anatomical support allows lumbar adjustment

if i had 50 K disposable money and could buy only one car, i would get an m3, or one of the upcoming japanese supercars.

of course if i already had a car, and was filthy rich so therefore had 50 K extra disposable money, then yes, i would get it.

there is no comparison between this thing and a solstice

don't get me wrong, I like the solstice, especially its looks. But even a Miata outperforms the solstice and anything lotus makes will be a vastly superior car

no it doesnt. they are exactly the same car now. Both have the same engine, exactly the same tuning.

In fact, supposedly the S/C factory option will hit the US shores first.
