Blew the head gasket ont he rear cylinder on the sporty on the ride to work this morning.... probabally just from 5 years of really hard riding, we will see gonna ter it down, and see if anything else is messed up, might just do the rear, if I have to do both I might just put some thinner base gaskets and head gaskets and bump up the compression...
funny thing is i felt it go I passed some ass hole on Aviation Pky, and had popped the from wheen to scare the bitch, and i just felt it drop power and then the "putt putt putt" 10/14/2005 9:33:17 PM |

just look at this as an opportunity...
a good reason to tear into the engine, and give it more power. 10/14/2005 11:36:26 PM |

I've done that already, without spends huge $$$ i can't go bigger thanthe 1250ccsit is, though they do make 88 cu/in and 101 cu/in kits they are both well over $2500 if I were to do anything (say I need new heads or something) the heads for a Buell XB12 are good for 20+hp with the right cams 10/15/2005 10:15:36 AM |

used agustas with the old 750 are going for between 15 and 20k. get a loan for it, ride it for a summer, resell it and lose nothing. then take that money and pick up a syclone for the winter, and swap that in the following summer for a nice 93 cobra or something. 10/15/2005 6:06:16 PM |

Nah ya just fix it and move on, and write it off as I have done stupid stuff on it and probabally pushed it past %100 of it's abalities alot in its life, it never let me down, never left me stranded hell I rode it on one cylinder 10 miles to get it to a shop... 10/16/2005 9:09:57 PM |

machines break. you just curse at them, break out the mastercard, and spend time fixing them that you'd rather spend using them, but in the end it's no big deal.
and if you're like me, you usually end up with a more capable machine after you fix it. 10/16/2005 9:19:50 PM |
