I was thinking about this the other day. I hate to admit, but he is right to a certain degree. I don't care what schedule we hoped to get and what schedule they hoped to get... when the dust settled we ended up with an easier schedule. They did have Duke (0-8 ACC IIRC) Maryland (3-5 ACC), and us (3-5 ACC). They had their cupcakes and blew one of them.

Getting a bowl after this year does seem like a hollow victory. Unfortunately I view it as one more game for us to lose this season. Still it is funny to see UNC jealous of our crap season.

I'm sure our players would have liked to play Louisville and Wisconson a lot more than MTSU and EKU, even if they are L's. We're not going to sit around and make excuses for our shitty play. We have had plenty of opportunities to make excuses but even the players and coaches blame it on a lack of execution...plain and simple.

Those faggots at UNC though are going to blame everyone but themselves. Thats where we come in...the team down the road with the easier schedule. All I have to say is fuck them, and have fun at home over christmas.

it's no secret that state schedules cupcake teams. It's been that way for years. Remember when they started 9-0 or whatever with phil, without playing ANYBODY? state is notorious for scheduling cupcakes. it's usually that way in basketball as well. They've gotten a little better, but still...

We don't have a good enough football program to schedule the big boys for non conference games, might as well schedule 3 easy wins. Besides, we haven't played Duke in years (I don't know that we would have beaten them this or last year) and we don't play them again next year (?), 8 other ACC teams got to beat them. We might as well take the cupcakes where we can find them.

Ever thought that good teams might not want to schedule us considering we almost pwnt OSU at their own stadium? Its a lose lose situation for them. Its like us scheduling Southern Miss. They're a decent team, but nobody realizes it. If we win, its "ho hum", and if we lose, its the end of the world.

Answer this question for me. Who did VT play OOC this year? WVU? A long time rival....they will have no trouble scheduling that game, ever. Ohio, and Marshall were also on the schedule, plus they played Duke.

But we didn't schedule Temple originally either. Originally our OOC schedule was like Louisville, VT, and Navy. VT joined the conference so that was gone and had to be filled, then Louisville backed out and we filled it with EKU, and Temple fucked up their schedule and scheduled two games on the same day so they were out and the only team left on that day was MTSU who turned out to be a better team. This year, our OOC schedule sucked balls because there was a lot of filling in. Its not like we had it planned like this for 3 years.
