I heard that he is leaning towards Florida.

Florida makes sense seeing as he supposedly wanted to stay in the SEC and might get a couple of chances to take it to Fulmer.

Have the Gators offered?

The only thing about UF is that it would be very unlikely that he'd start over Leak next year. So that would leave Schaeffer only one year as a potential starter...

I haven't heard any news lately, though.

if I'm not mistaken, he would get that here too. UT is scheduled for like 07. Thats the reason Fulmer wouldn't let him just transfer here.

Fulmer wouldn't let him just transfer here because he's an ass (and a fat one at that).

I am still expecting UT to back out like Louisville and Notre Dame have.

State/UF/Ole Miss

Ole Miss because he liked Mazzone... Mazzone's gone
UF... UF may sign Tim Tebow, bigtime HS QB
State.... If Stone didn't impress him, he is ours.

We got Burke coming in... But Schaeffer is PROVEN in the SEC. Sign the kid up.

Fulmer wouldn't let him come here since we were on his schedule, but since he went to a JUCO... he is now free to do whatever the hell he wants to do.

I'd expect him to visit for one of our bowl practices and then we'll know more about where we stand. He stated at one pointed he wanted to visit teams during their bowl practices.

He was under the impression that Mazzone made Rivers... I think he may have figured that one out.

how can you consider him proven in the SEC? He lost the job to Eric Ainge.

he's already made us look the fool once

and he has off field problems

I don't want him.

Florida is ready to bench Leak in favor of Tim Tebow if Tebow will come to school early and play spring ball. Florida already has about 5 great QBs...Ole Miss is terrible and Mazzone is under a bridge panhandling so I hope they are out.

It wouldn't be bad to have him but he is looking for the starting job to be handed to him. If he wants to come here and earn the job then fine...other wise I couldn't care less.

^and??

It's not like the kid is going to start next year. We need help immediately. And with our shitty O-line (and O-line coaching)...an extremely moblie quarterback like Brent Schaeffer would be a godsend.

I've heard he's possibly a silent Florida verbal. Our coaches need to get him to our bowl practices to show him how much Marcus Stone sucks. It would be great if he came here...started for two years, then Burke could come in as a redshirt sophomore and take over the reigns. And Marcus Stone would be the backup for two years. Not bad if you ask me.

Oh wishful thinking....

or to injury...he won the job then seperated his shoulder. Fulmer then thought he had it all figured out with Ainge and Clausen so he "made an example" out of Brent for his off the field action after Brent requested a transfer.

nooo... the job was split between him and Ainge starting the season, Shaeffer just happen to be the first QB to play in the first game, but wasnt officially the "starter". Ainge won the starting job in the Florida game but Shaeffer was still coming in as a change of pace guy until he got hurt against South Carolina

This is true... but as it stands now, he's a gator from what I've been told (From a really really reliable source) They didn't say he committed, but that he's given the cold shoulder to everyone else. He was supposedly committed to Ole Miss until Mazzone was ousted, and now he's all about Florida.

Tebow will probably go to Bama though...right?

well this is how its always gone with BS and how it will go until he signs with someone:
He loves NCSU,
He loves UT,
He loves NCSU,
He loves the SEC
He loves Ole Miss,
He loves UF,
He loves.....to be continued.

am I missing anyone in the BS soap opera?

ps. having said that, I would love for him to start in Wolfpack Red next season.

I saw him in person at 3 UT games, very very impressed, looked like the second coming of Vick... wish we could have kept him, he would have been really nice this year when the offense was struggling... hope State gets him now.

wow he really is elusive, maybe not vick speed but damn it looks like he can throw the ball light years better than vick in that video, of course it's only good plays. if that's how he throws consistently then bring him on.

He looks great, too bad he won't work for our team. He is left handed, our whole playbook would have to be reversed for him. That's too bad, we will just have to keep looking.
