When a teacher asks you to sub for her for a certain day, how do you get a job number for that? Am I supposed to give the teacher my personal identification number to give to the office?

i am assuming that you are talking about wake county.

You need to get the job number from the teacher. When she calls into STMS it will give her a job number, and as long as someone else hasn't accepted it you can call into STMS and accept the job.

I also think they can request a certain sub too...but I am not sure about that. I never needed a sub while I worked in Wake County.

the school secretary gives out job numbers to teachers who need subs, ie, the teacher will have the job number for you at the schoo, or you can stop by the office and get the # from there

If the teacher has your phone number (the one STMS is supposed to call) she can give you the job in STMS. STMS will call you to confirm it though.
