you not whats more fucking possible?

the mother fucking bi-polar guy said he had a fucking bomb and these twats on the airplane that didnt hear it arent the end-all of what was/wasnt said.

The fact that he DIDNt have a bomb doesnt fucking matter and the fact that you keep referencing it shows that you have no clue about what youre trying to argue.

You have some fucked up stick up your ass all the time where you think anyone that works for the government is out to do harm to everyone and anyone they can. Youre fucking pathetic.

Its essentially the people who werent at the site of the incident vs the people who were directly involved in the incident. Youre the fuckwad that thinks anything a cop or government official says is a lie so you come here spouting off this shit.

a bi-polar guy flipped out, said something he shouldnt have, didnt obey orders and got shot. Get the fuck over it.

No, I don't think that "anyone that works for the government is out to do harm to everyone and anyone they can." I've never said any such thing. Most of the people who work for the government are decent people who aren't intentionally trying to hurt people by working in the government. It is the high-level people in government and behind the government influencing things that are knowingly and intentionally hurting people. That's what I've said all along.

why start a flashy new thread in the lounge instead of contributing your ideas to the current thread in the lounge on the front page on the same topic, unless you just wanted another look at me conspiracy thread?

Norm: I got a plane full of people saying you threatened that stewardess.
Greg Focker: I was not threatening her. I was just trying to get my bag into the overhead storage thing...
Norm: You were acting like a maniac and you threatened her with a bomb.
Greg Focker: No, I said I didn't have a bomb.
Norm: But you said bomb.
Greg Focker: I said, "It's not like I have a bomb".
Norm: You said "Bomb" on an airplane.
Greg Focker: What's wrong with saying 'Bomb' on an airplane?
Norm: You can't say 'Bomb' on an airplane!
Greg Focker: Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb. You gonna arrest me? Bomb bomb bomb bomb! During the war I was a BOMBadier!
Norm: You assaulted an airline employee and I oughta put you away for years!
"

salisburyboy - find more than one passenger on that plane as your source, you've quoted the same 44 yo construction worker twice.

"And if they guy was running OFF of a plane with a bomb (and the marshals should have known the guy PROBABLY didn't have a bomb), why shoot him 3 or 4 times to kill him, rather than once to disable him?"

NO NO NO NO

A gun is lethal force and nothing less. There is no such thing as disabling or winging or maming or anything like that. You do not shoot to injure or incapacitate.

Thinking of a gun as less-than-lethal is dangerous and is what does get people killed.

If there is reasonable concern that an individual has a bomb and he is not listening to orders from federal agents with guns (adding more fuel to the fire) then the last thing you want to do is shoot to injure because if he does have a bomb then you know damn well he'd set it off.

^Exactly....why shoot to wound, so he can have another chance to detonate the bomb? Why give him that chance, if he had a bomb shot to kill.

1) What percentage of flights have had threats to them in the last 5 years?
2) Should we apply that kind security/shoot to kill laws to all public confined spaces? What makes an airplane special?
3) What has been the total cost to airlines and the government as a result of the increased security? (Consumers pay I think an extra $20 a ticket now ... something like that).

I'm simply looking for some facts/justification behind the laws and expenses to this sort of thing.

there is no such thing as disabling fire. when the situation warrants deadly force, that is what is used.

people who second guess are all the same. their sole mission in life is to be critical of either someone not doing their job or not doing it well enough.

Bottom line deadly force is authorized if a reasonable person would believe there is an imminent threat to you or someone else’s serious bodily injury or death. Stating that you have a bomb and then failing to comply with commands, then reaching into your bag would get you shot by any law enforcement officer, and it would be justified. You don’t have to wait until the person show, detonates, fires, etc. any weapon to warrant deadly force, then best case you are looking at a tie with them, that’s how people really get killed.

Just because one guy on a huge airliner didn’t hear the threat, or didn’t think that they should have shot the guy hardly should call into question the Marshal’s decision. The fact that the mainstream media picked this up is even more ridiculous to me. It’s all about sensationalism. If a bomb would have gone off the media would have talked about the failure of the Marshals to protect the plane.
