Heard on the radio a promotion for student tickets for the canes. I looked on the canes' website and google, but couldn't find anything, anybody know more?

the 3rd level seats behind the goals are VERY decent (imo, probably best seats in the house)

and only $11 or so with student discount

^you must not have been anywhere else in the arena. Those seats arent horrible, but they're in the bottom tier of quality seats

yet they're still some of the cheapest in the NHL...

If you're strapped for cash, get a $10.29 ticket. Yes, it's upper level, but there really isn't a bad seat in that arena.

The Hurricanes have the cheapest tickets in the NHL, and probably the cheapest of the major league sports (just pulling that last part out of my ass, though). $10.29 is a great deal.

yeah, for $10.29, it's really not a bad view at all.

If you're that picky about wanting to sit lower/club level, get BOGO tickets to games on the 13th, 15th, and 20th:
http://www.carolinahurricanes.com/news/news.asp?articleid=1400

Quote :
"The first game that fans can take advantage of the two-for-one ticket offer is Dec. 13 against the Chicago Blackhawks. Fans who donate at least two cans of food to the North Carolina Food Bank will receive a two-for-one voucher to purchase lower level or club level tickets to that night’s game. On Dec. 15 against the Columbus Blue Jackets, fans donating a new, unopened toy to Toys for Tots prior to the Hurricanes’ game will also receive a two-for-one ticket voucher for lower level or club level tickets to that game. And, on Dec. 20, fans donating a new or gently worn, laundered winter hat, scarf or gloves to the Goodwill Community Foundation will receive a two-for-one ticket voucher for lower level or club level tickets to that night’s game against Tampa Bay."

And no, you can't use your student discount along with it.

The 'Canes are offering buy one get one free vouchers for tickets (lower level or club level) for three games coming up.

For the game tonight against the Chicago Blackhawks you need to bring two cans of food that will be given to the Food Bank of NC.

For Thurs, Dec. 15 against the Columbus Blue Jackets you can bring a new unopened toy that will be given to Toys for Tots.

For Tues, Dec. 20 against the Tampa Bay Lightning you can bring new or gently worn, laundered winter hat, scarf or gloves that will be given to Goodwill Community Foundation.
