i can do a single chain stitch... basically its just a slipknot

Mmm, I used to do it alot, but i never finish those projects so i probably wouldnt be a very good teacher.

when you start, just be sure you don't tense up. I've a bad habit of doing that and it's one of the reasons I haven't finished anything--that and my sister took the yarn I was using.

I like knitting much better. All my stitches come out either too loose or too tight when I crochet. Since the stitches stay on the needles in knitting, my stitches come out more consisitent.

There's a website out there, that has not pictures but *video* of how to do stitches.
Cant remember where though, sorry. But it is free.

I can help you. I know binding on, single, double, and triple stitch. I can't bind off though...my mom knows how.
