i got these as gifts from an ex... i dont want them anymore... i'll take $100 for the ring and $50 for the necklace... both come in original boxes... they would make a great valentine's day present!

the ring is a size 7... white gold... it was bought at gordon's jewlers so if it doesn't fit you can bring it to them and they will resize it...

Gifts are one thing - a "promise ring" is another. It's like an engagement ring - a "gift given in contemplation of" a certain event (like the fulfillment of a promise), is to be returned if for whatever reason that event does not take place. I think legally, he owns the promse ring. Sell it and you could be liable for conversion (theft).

actually he doesn't own shit... both were gifts... please only reply if you are interested in the ring or necklace.. if you're not i suggest you get a life and find other things to do than make dumbass comments!

I'm telling you what the law says - if it was just a "gift" then it is not properly called a promise ring. If it is a "promise ring" then it is likely a gift given in contemplation of the fulfillment of a promise - that's why it's called a promise ring. If the promise has not been fulfilled, then the gift is vacated and the item must be returned. You do realize that by putting this online you are making a record in writing which can be used in court, do you not?

TWW 101: Never expect good things from TWWers when you're trying to sell stuff your ex gave you. Especially if it's a ring.

Sounds like somebody got a bit "burned" when they made a promise and didn't get the ring back.

2K might have a point, but since when have you ever heard of a girl getting punished for keeping and selling a "gift" from a douchebag ex who was probably the cause of the whole breakup in the first place...
