sorry, i've had a LOT going on in my life the last few days, and haven't spent as much time on here.

plus, a couple of the threads that started off as stupid trolling spawned discussion that was at least worthwhile enough that i didn't want to lock them.

90%....hmmmm....that's about right. And I called several of them on that when some of them were pitching their little hissy fit over me.

Why do you think they tried to get me banned and run me out of there if they weren't a bunch of trolls in the first place? They don't want a real, rational discussion on important issues. They want to turn the entire tww into a virtual chit chat (which is what they did, and then tried to blame it on me as a reason to try to get me suspended.)

It's a joke. A few of the more "established" posters in there think they can just bitch to the mods and ban/suspend anyone they want, while it is they who are actually degrading the value of the soap box. The inmates are truly running the asylum.

And I was suspended (and now currently confined to one thread in the soap box) for what? Oh, that's right, because of few of the influential posters there simply don't like my views or were "annoyed" with me, and went crying to the mods to get me suspended. And just in case that didn't work, they bombed the soap box with a bunch of cheese threads and other nonsense, and then tried to make it out that it was my fault or that I had done something wrong.

What has been done to me is simply unfair. It is outright censorship. And, if the soap box is not a forum where one can freely express their ideas, I'll just go elsewhere where serious discussion and true freedom of speech and expression is respected.

he's like someone who drives around at night blaring rap music in a neighborhood. you have the right to listen to what you want and (within reason) play it as loud as you want. do it too often or over what is even remotely reasonable then you get the cops called on you and possibly a ticket.

Fine, you don't like what he posted ( neither do I ),but I could say the same about alot of other people in the soapbox. Besides the fact that he is unpopular, no one has yet to concretely explain

he's not practicing what he preaches. thats not trolling, that is pointing out a flaw in someone's argument...you know, what is to be expected in a normal soap box thread.

not supporting the EXTREME fringe doesnt make me some tyrannical and clique-y forum troll out to get everyone who disagrees with me. most of us just want rational and serious discussion (admittedly with a some humor here and there to keep it interesting). his threads are what make the soap box more closely resemble chit chat, not ours. the cheese went too far, but for the most part was an isolated incidence, which cannot be said for his ramblings.

you shouldnt have to wade through posts about hurricane redirection or the evil jews when trying to have a serious political discussion. do you think anyoen in the real world has discussions about this kind of thing for more than 10 seconds? even when you try to debate him he just ignores it exactly like this thread. thats not rational or serious discussion. adding his gibberish to other threads only furthers the point.

none of that has to do with much to do with my beleifs on his subjects. his crazy threads and posts make up a FAR larger percentage of soap box as compared to the amount of people who beleive them or even think they warrant discussion.
