I bought 512 RAM for 70 dollars a stick, so that's less than half of that


^you need to figure out if it fits your laptop - look up the specs online

I don't know that much about it, so unless I find a specs sheet, I can't tell you that this is going to work for you

^ that's not a good argument, because a 512 MB stick has much greater value in that you can install two of them and achieve 1 GB config, but with a 256 MB stick installed you are limiting your max RAM config. Most people who like to upgrade their hardware probably already have 2 - 256 MB modules installed, so they will pay top dollar for a couple 512 MB sticks, but they have no use for 256 MB sticks.
