I know how to do it. What problem are you having? Tell me and I can help you learn. You know, that thing you try to do when you're not cheating.

I am a fortran TA. My office hours are Thursdays 1:15-3:15pm in DAN 226. You are welcome to come to my office hours and I will answer any questions you have. If you have a class conflict at that time, send me an email at dfyaghou@ncsu.edu and I will be more then happy to set up a time to meet you and help you out with whatever you need.

Only when it comes to CSC, asking other students for help considered cheating.

Please don't bring up that topic again. It's been beaten to death several times over already.

You try emailing the TA list? I know CSC116 has an email list that every TA gets a copy of ... not sure about 112.

One of the main reasons I was hired was because of my fortran knowledge! It is still a very useful tool for teaching the basics of programming to someone who doesn't have any experience.

^^ In what industry do you work? I had to take fortran because I was Engineering (Undecided) freshman year and already had credits for most of the 1st year shit. When I matriculated (btw what a cool word), everyone in ECE laughed @ me because of how useless Fortran was.

I really can't think of any reason why Fortran would be useful outside of Military/NASA type shit where they're still using shit from the 50s...

As an ME, I know I would have been way better off spending my time learning how to use MATLAB instead of fucking FORTRAN.

yes, Fortran is very useful in industry but focus should be on matlab. But isn't that what everyone is doing in school now? learning one "real" programming language (fortran, java,c++) then doing all the course work in matlab?

Because you have a better chance of finding a job if you know a programing language that was released after JFK was assassinated..? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_programming_languages

Aerospace engineering. Lots of our simulations are written in fortran because the programming behind the sims are pretty simple (despite the actual models being fairly complex). I use matlab more these days, but I picked up matlab really easily because I already knew how to "think like a programmer" after years of being a fortran TA (not the smelly one that LastinACC had)

I use fortran pretty frequently. and saying it's from the 50s is a little disingenuous. There have been some pretty major overhauls of the language since then, most notably in the 90s. Most of the things that make/made fortran terrible are terrible coding style choices that I hardly ever see anymore except for in really old code that hasn't been maintained.
