Friday night my jeep got broken into at lake park appartments. Has it happened to anyone else around there lately?

between $80-120 of stuff taken.

it looked pretty sloppy. probably a crackhead/drunk.
still, sucks.

my roomate had his window broken out twice, but that's the price you pay in lake park. We all know lake park is the trashy hell raising part of raleigh....anything goes in lake park enter at your own risk.

Put a stack of twenty dollar bills clearly visible on your car seat and then wait in the bushes with a .308 for someone to break into the car. I think you can figure out what should happen next.

i live at lake park (only until july, thank god)... and yesterday they arrested some guy that was hiding out in a vacant apartment 2 floors below me... the word is that he was keeping the shit that he's been stealing there, and sleeping there off and on... and they are pretty sure he was involved in the break-in a week or 2 ago... so maybe your deal with the break in was related... that sucks though.... safety is at the bottom of the lake park list... (none of our outside lights work on our building, and we've been trying to get them fixed for 2 months... not to mention the crackhead that live above us is always trying to make his way into our apartment... totally sketch...

my roomies jeep was broken into while we lived there... The funny thing is that he didn't really have anything in his Jeep except for stupid mix cd's and they took those. It's pretty funny cuz they were like Vanilla Ice and shit.

Well, the windows are flexible plastic, and the tops are usually canvas like convertible tops. You're not breaking in as much as cutting and tearing.

We seriously need some

up in LP

My roommate called the police about the shady people that wheel stacks of electronics down the hill with the shopping carts (by the office), and the lady he spoke to implied he was racist and that there was nothing unusual about that.

you don't even have to cut into a jeep....you just zip into it...any sane jeep owner doesn't lock the doors and doesn't keep anything in it

When my Jeep was broken into, they decided it would be more fun to slash the rear window with a knife than just unzip it or open the door.

I had an Accord 'broken' into at Westgrove apartments; they evidently used a slim jim, so nothing was physically broken. They did it right before xmas and stole the stereo (but not the subwoofer, despite the fact that they had to unplug the RCA cables from the stereo to get it out) and my archery supplies.

Bastards. Those archery supplies were not cheap! The stereo wasn't cheap either, but it was my bf's car so I wasn't TOO upset about that part. But my archery supplies!!!

I hope they rot.

I think we found the problem. And by the way, a jeep certainly does not make you cool and has even less utilitarian value. Thanks for playing though - you shouldnt have moved to lake park.

What is the deal with all of the shopping carts by the dumpster. I own an apartment in the same building as the office. I have been wondering about that.

dunno...I figure it's just people walking back from the grocery store who are too lazy to take the cart back the next time they go. I keep meaning to start putting them in the dumpster, put I've gotten around to doing it
