I love the old version of this movie, and think that the new one looks like it could be a pretty good flick.

but i can't seem to find out when it is coming out, my guess is this summer...

yeah that was the title of the 1972 original version


in other news, I just saw that this movie is directed by the same guy who did "the Perfect Storm" which kinda makes me nervous since that movie wasn't that good....

he must have some fetish for tsunami-style waves

no matter what detail level i use, quick time wont go past about a fourth of the trailer.

got a different program to play it from a diff site. it looked good enough to watch, but i feel like i watched most of the movie right there. showing the huge wave is like revealing the murderer in a who done it, or showing your creepiest alien in a horror movie in the trailer... it just doesn’t really leave anything for the movie.

well, in the old movie, the wave was the catalyst for the whole story...

the majority of the story takes place after the wave, i.e. the ship is submerged under water, the passengers have to get out, its good stuff..

i dont mind em when they really can improve upon a major aspect of the story with better special effects, but i had no problem with poseidon's adventure. the only thing that was special effects that i can remember was the wave. whoopidy doo, you can make a wave thats in the movie for about 5 seconds look better. i'm sure they'll add in a bunch more explosives and crap, which is where it'll go downhill.
