The squall line that came through was extremely slow moving. Its still raining over parts of outer banks now. Severity-wise, it wasnt bad, a little hail in parts. Mostly it just rained for hours which is causing major flooding in areas.

Some models have a low rolling through N Ga that you normally don't see pressures that low in that area other than tropical systems. Not sure how it will be around here but I get the feeling there could be some nasty storms along the gulf coast not sure how far north the line will extend. I am sure if it holds we will start hearing the weather stations hyping it up

About 7:15 we had some of the strongest rain I have ever seen in Carrboro. It was like a moving waterfall. Pretty crazy.

I guess I understand that for certain jobs, but generally I think the damage and inconvenience of a snow storm in NC is not worth the day off. I don't get to take off simply because of inclement weather. Actually, it's more important that I be at work during inclement weather than other times.
