In the last film, the sheepish Mr. Fantastic was trapped in a love triangle that had him battling with Dr. Doom. This time around, Alba promises another love triangle, and a new co-star who might be fueling it. "There is a little tension between the Silver Surfer and Reed," Alba said of the script, which will finally bring the legendary Marvel character to the big screen. The cosmos-roaming Silver Surfer has gained an army of loyal fans with his conflicted, complicated story line. Of the Surfer, Alba said: "He's a little good and a little bad. So it's just a matter of, 'What does Sue Storm bring — the good or the bad — out of that boy?' " Alba's clues could equal a romantic subplot between Sue and a Silver-skinned lothario. While comic book fans are connecting such dots, it also helps to note that there could never be a Silver Surfer without a Galactus. "I cannot bring up Galactus," Alba said, taking a deep breath and giggling. "I can't believe I just said his name. "Maybe he'll do an appearance," she added. the first movie was a popcorn eating, light, but exciting superhero movie. no overbearing tones of social responsibility like spiderman, or the fight for equality as in X-men. This was more "we have powers and they're cool, and the media has made us darlings" sort of movie.

i liked it. i look forward to the second one.

Ok, after reading that article I get the impression there will be a love triangle between Reed, Sue, and the Silver Surfer? The hell? If I remember the comic right, the Surfer had an encounter with a blind woman called Alicia I think, who was Ben Grimm's gf, and later Johnny Storm's gf. A Ben, Alicia, Johnny love triangle would be a better idea I think. Or at the least Alicia, Surfer, and one of the other two.

And Alba's character will take on the powers of the others? Great, so she's turning into Super Skrull...nice.

Let me just say I liked FF too. It was entertaining. It just wasn't a great movie.

I wish it had the kind of plot and writing behind it that would have made it a movie that the average person and the critics could like. Spiderman always had this struggle of power versus responsibility... Peter Parker struggling (at least in earlier comics) with being broke, getting picked at at school, etc when he had all this power of Spiderman and really none of that stuff would've been a problem if he had just use it for his own gain. FF was more the intrigue of taking on the more... out of this world type of stuff, and exploring using science, time travel, alternate dimensions, etc. If they had come up with some quasi-science exploration deal for them to go on and explored the family aspect of the team, I think people would care about the characters more.

I enjoyed FF, was not the greatest but it was entertaining. The older I become and the more movies I watch I have learened that for me I need to just to to the movies to be entertained and expect Hollywood to be Hollywood...

Look fwd to FF2...hopefully more action outside of the apartment and hopefully Silver Surfer will look realistic...

The Silver Surfer, first preview is w/ "A Night At The Museum"

"It starts of with quick shots of Reed and Sue walking down the aisle. We see Johnny smiling proudly and the Thing wiping away tears.

There's a flash in the sky, and Reed looks over at Johnny who replies, "C'mon, I just bought this!" (Referring to his tux) He rolls his eyes and leaps over the edge of the building yelling, "Flame On!"

What follows is an amazing chase sequence between Surfer and Torch through a tunnel. At one point the Surfer passes THROUGH a subway bus and the Torch fx really look excellent as he flies through the very narrow gap between vehicles.

Surfer ends up way above the streets of NY with Torch in hot pursuit. We then see him turn around, literally catch and hold Torch by the throat until he 'flames off' and begins to fall..."
