It's gonna be great this weekend and nothing's gonna keep be away (except being stuck in an office all day friday looking out longingly at the festivities below ). Now whether I can convince my fellow wolfpackers to come out and join me in Ashevegas is another story...still tryin though!

^^^ its basically the downtown of asheville getting drunk and listening to live music. there is also all kinds of arts/crafts to buy too.

usually they have decent bands, but i havent checked this years lineup cause i cant go. but if youve never been to asheville, you will prob. find it interesting/entertaining.

Well, thats the thing, I love Asheville, such a cool town, and this sounds like a pretty good excuse to go.

Its not just a hippy thing though is it, cause I am not really into that.

Hippies + rednecks = Bele Chere.

It's fun if you go with friends, look at the crafts, and buy some junk fair food. You can have even more fun if you play the game my friends and I played last year - the Mullet Scavenger Hunt, where you try and find as many types of mullets as you can!

I am looking forward to a funnel cake myself

Asheville is just very very different. I just got married in Asheville earlier this month and the hippies and rednecks are always there...not just Bele Chere.

i am going. in fact it will be the first weekend i stay in town since i've been here the past two months. one of my friends has a place a mile or so from down town so we are going to camp in his yard and walk to and from to avoid the hassles of drunk driving/dd'ing/cabs.

I'll be there. One year we had a bunch of friends travel together and stay at the home of one of them. It was awesome. I hope we have just as much fun this year. That was probably 5 years ago.
