I have a 10 year old male boa (boa constrictor imperator) that needs a new home. I took him in ~6 months ago and he was a bit thin. He now eats just fine on frozen/thawed rats. He is relatively short for a boa, right aroung 5 feet. Please don't respond if you cannot or will not be able to take of him properly.

His temperment is great. As long as you can provide a good home, with a decent sized enclosure, he is free.

what size cage do you have him in now? I would probably need to go buy something, because I don't think I have anything quite big enough.

I currently keep him in a cage that is 3' wide by 2' deep. There are some reasonably priced plastic cages available from different manufacturers or a large aquarium would work.

well, that's not too bad...I might have one at home, I'll have to check. Would you be willing to sell what you have him in now if I don't?

females can reach 8ft or better but it depends on how often they're fed

at 10 years old, this one might not grow too much if he's kept on a basic diet.
if you power feed him (feeding as often as he'll take food) then he could get bigger

I'd love to have him if you can provide me with some sort of living arrangement... i might even be willing to buy it off of ya if it's cheap enough. Let me know.
